A site about cat breeds where you move around like on a metro: lines, stations, and routes. People can contribute, but nothing publishes without review. I designed and coded all of it.

01 · The challenge
What was going on
Context
MIAWSEO is a project I started on my own. The idea was simple: there is a huge amount of information about cat breeds, and all of it is organized like an encyclopedia, which is the most boring possible way to discover anything.
The problem
Organize a lot of content without you getting lost, and let people contribute without that wrecking the quality of what is already published.
My part
All of it: what it should be, how the content is organized, how it looks, and the code for both the site and the moderation panel.

Use a metro map as the way to navigate: you know where you are and what comes next without thinking about it.

- The Michiteca: the browsable catalog with search, stations, and routes.
- Twenty themed exhibitions that assemble themselves from the data.
- The form people use to contribute and the panel where I approve or reject.

01 The museum as a metro network. In July 2026 the home opened with the two lines — the breed exhibition and the community wall — plus a donations block that was later removed.
02 Moderated community: real photos, filters, and frictionless likes.
03 Literal wayfinding: every breed is a station on the line.
04 Each breed is curated as an exhibition: narrative rooms, not flat records.
05 Specs with narrative: iconic color, texture, and a platform-by-platform tour.

What changed in the end
A large catalog you can wander without getting lost, because it is shaped like a place, not an index.
Original content and public contributions coexisting without quality dropping.
What I would not compromise on
- Knowing where you are is part of the product.
- Every breed is told as a story.
- Community yes, but with someone reviewing.
