01 · The challenge
What was going on
Context
Casa Tecalli is a made-up premium food brand. I used it to answer a concrete question: how far can you get using only what Shopify already gives you, without installing third-party apps?
The problem
Make it look like an expensive brand while the owner can still edit everything from the Shopify panel, without touching code and without anyone losing the path to the cart.
My part
The idea, how the theme is built underneath, the design of every screen, and the code.

How I decided to solve it

Every block can be moved, edited, or switched off from the Shopify panel.

Never invent data: price, size, and stock always come from Shopify.

Works the same with a finger, with a keyboard, and for people who turned animations off.

What got built
- A complete theme, with every section configurable from the panel.
- Every screen: homepage, category, search, product, cart, 404, and gift card.
- Product gallery, marked points over the photo, countdown, and the purchase flow.

What changed in the end
A store that looks expensive without depending on a single external app.
It is ready for a real catalog: this is not a mockup, it works.
What I would not compromise on
- If the owner cannot edit it alone, it is no good.
- Every app you install is one more thing that can break.
- You design for the phone first.
